In the area of product development focus was put on repackaging and enhancing features of existing products in line with changing customer demands. The Bank introduced a special saving plan account targeting, but not limited to, women with a brand name of “Malkia Account”. For the first time also, the Bank initiated a Customer Service Charter and sensitized all its staff¬ to live by the promise made therein to customers. Key financial Results As of June 2010. The total assets of the Bank grew by 35% from Tshs 1,645 billion at the end of June 2009 to Tshs 2,221 billion at the end of June 2010. Deposits grew by 38% from Tshs1,389 billion at the end of 2009 to reach Tshs 1,916 billion at the end of June 2010. The Bank achieved a pre-tax profit of Tshs 38 billion marking an increase of 52% from Tshs 25 billion released in year 2009. After tax profit was Tshs 28 billion being 52% higher than the Tshs 19 billion at the end of June 2009. In 2010 and despite unpredictable economic conditions, CRDB Bank will remain focused on maintaining its core business model and developing opportunities for growth on a conservative and sustainable basis. This will be undertaken within a framework of prudent risk management to ensure capital and liquidity by protection and value creation for all our customers and shareholders. |
