CRDB Bank is committed to play an active role in promoting a strong and vibrant community because we believe it is both our responsibility, as well as our pleasure, to help maximise opportunities for all. Since the establishment of CRDB Bank in 1996, we have regularly provided financial and non-financial support to a range of local causes. CRDB Bank also donates to community initiatives and charitable organizations.
We use our strengths to support the community. Education and health form the primary focus of our involvement in communities. We strongly believe that through education and health we will be able to make a positive difference in the community. Youth sports and environmental issues are very important to CRDB Bank as well.
We also help the community and the country by, as stated above, being the country’s largest tax payer. The Bank paid taxes totalling Tshs 26 billion in 2008, rising from Tshs 20 billion in 2007 and Tshs 16 billion in 2006. CRDB Bank is proud to play a role in the continued development and prosperity of our country, Tanzania.
