CRDB Bank donates TZS 35 Million to support expansion of UDSM


CRDB Bank has once again step up its effort in supporting the improvement of education sector in the country by donating TZS 35 million to the expansion of University of Dar es Salaam.

Speaking at the fund raising dinner event chaired by Hon. Jakaya Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, the CRDB Bank`s Director for Marketing, Research and Customer Service, Tully Esther Mwambapa said that it is the Bank`s policy to invest in the society wellbeing amongst which education plays a significant role. “CRDB Bank each year allocates 1% of annual profit to support the society development needs specifically in health, education and environment”. The Bank understands the role of education in any society if it really desires to make serious steps towards development”

Ms Mwambapa also noted that CRDB Bank acknowledges the contribution of the University of Dar es Salaam in the development of the country. “CRDB Bank acknowledges the University`s effort in producing graduates that are instrumental in economic, social and political well being of the country”. For over 50 years the University has produced graduates of high caliber that have been catalysts in development initiatives in the country, Africa and the world at large.
