In its efforts to enhance the contribution of the agricultural sector to the economy, CRDB Bank PLC has allocated Tshs 65 billion for development of coffee industry in the country, the Bank’s Managing Director Dr Charles Kimei said this in Mbeya recently.
CRDB Bank has once again supported government’s efforts to ensure that one of development’s biggest enemy, illiteracy, is defeated by sponsoring the construction of a classroom at Leganga Primary School in Arumeru District, Arusha Region.
CRDB Bank has recorded a pre-tax profit of Tshs 52 billion in the year 2007 up from Tshs 38.4 the previous year. This was said by the Bank’s CEO Dr Charles Kimei during a press conference held in Dar es Salaam recently.
CRDB Bank Premier Centre and Azikiwe Premier Branch have been launched. The event held on 12th December 2007 was graced by the First Lady Mama Salma Kikwete.
CRDB Bank Manging Director Dr Charles Kimei has said that access to finance alone cannot become a cure to all unemployment problems facing the country.
